Emergency & Critical Care - About the Practice

Emergency, the word can elicit many thoughts and feelings.  But for Central Veterinary Emergency Services (CVES), that word describes what we are trained to do best.  The Doctors and Technicians at CVES are amazaing to watch as they move into action in the face of a medical crisis.

CVES has been in business since 1975.  Dr. Sam Romano purchased the practice in 1992 and moved to our current location, VRCC Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital, in 1999.  We consider it a privilege to serve the greater metro enver area by providing excellent medicine and compassionate care for pets and their owners.

Veterinarian Expertise
With over 50 years of combined experience between our seven Veterinarians the knowlege base is broad and deep.  Add to that our ability to consult wiht Veterinary Specialists in eight different fields and you know your four-legged family member is in good hands at CVES.

Technician Excellence

CVES technicians are some of the best in Colorado.  Our technicians truly care for your pet and it shows as they watch your pet closely and work in conjunction with the doctors to keep your pet as safe, happy, and comfortable as possible during his/her stay in our hospital.

Your Veterinary Team

CVES doctors work closely with your family Veterinarian to provide a continuum of care. Your Veterinarian can transfer a sick pet to us for overnight continuous care, such as fluid therapy, to allow for a faster return to health. CVES doctors work closely with other VRCC specialties such as Cardiology, Dentistry, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Surgery so they can help direct you to a specialist as needed.
