These cats are housed at VRCC for use as feline blood donors for our patients. They come to us as strays or from local animal shelters in need of a home.
Each cat is examined by a VRCC veterinarian to ensure that they are in good body condition. A series of lab work is performed and reviewed to ensure that each donor is healthy and disease free. Each cat will stay at VRCC for at least a six-month period.
If you are interested in adopting any of our donor cats, please contact VRCC; certain conditions must be met by the adopting party. Won't you help us find good homes for these cuddly critters?
GUS
"Gus" is a neutered male grey tabby, age unknown, who was brought to VRCC by a Good Samaritan. Gus was a neighborhood stray that was brought in for a wound on his chest. Upon examination, it was discovered that he also has a treatable heart condition. Unable to become a blood donor we are hoping that Gus might be able to find a loving home. Gus arrived at VRCC in May of 2008 and is available for adoption now.
JABBER
"Jabber" is a neutered male gray domestic short hair, age unknown, who was brought to VRCC in October 2007 by an animal shelter. Jabber wants to be the only child. He has been known to pick fights with other cats, but is VERY affectionate with people! Jabber is available for adoption now.
